Sorry to reply to my own post, but I looked at the page a bit too 
briefly. It seems to be a cable to convert the TTL ouput to something 
that an analogue RGB input (e.g. SCART) will take.

It appears that it would fix my projector problem, with a VGA-type 
15-pin D plug on the end of it.
