Because it's the most robust common connector they could find for the
1MHz bus, which needs 34 pins. Digital Services provided a cable with a
DC37 on each end to conect a Digistore to a Winchester. BTW, you do
realise it's supposed to be a daisy-chained bus, like a SCSI bus?
