I'd like to think it was manufacturer dependent; i.e. 3.5" TDK
floppies tend to be black no matter if they're DD or HD (I have
both). Maxell tend to be beige, at least DD. Most noname disks
were blue, maybe true for both DD and HD.

Looking for the HD hole is a much better indication about the
capacity than checking the colour of the disk "casing".
