Erk! Well, Adrian over at domesday1986.com just got back to me, and in that
particular case it wasn't quite such modern hardware at all - everything was
apparently transferred across a serial link between the original Master AIV
system and a more modern machine!
I hate to think how long that took - quite possibly a record for the longest
run of a Domesday system :)
No word from the Camelion lot yet as to what they did...
