Hmm, there should be a page listing all the configure commands needed to get 
the system going, and the boot sequence (which is something like 
ctrl-shift-Q-break). Did you run through all of those?

I've got a *lot* of Domesday docs, but they're all in the loft - I can have a 
look tomorrow though if nobody nearer to a set can help out.

They're fun - clunky, but fun. The thing that always impresses me is the sheer 
scale of the project; I'm not sure anyone could *do* something like that these 
days without falling foul of endless project delays or political arguments.
