I have the original disc as well, with the Master Dictionary on it - the snag is transferring it to a PC; I don't think I possess a PC with a Serial port any more! 

I'll see what I can do...

   thanks for scanning the manual, its been really helpful.  Unfortunately without the master dictionaries it doesn't look like i am going to get much further as Viewspell seems determined to check the master dictionaries before doing anything useful.
