<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Hi,</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>I've recently acquired a 2nd hand Beeb with a WE
32K Rom/Ram board. It's fitted with 16k of static RAM and the manual says that
this can be backed up with "a PCB mounting type NiCad battery (2.6v)".
</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>I'd like to fit a battery but I'm wondering if this
is a typo - i.e. should it read 3.6v? All the rechargeable batteries I've seen
are in multiples of 3.6v. Also, I believe that the ATPL Sidewise board took a
3.6v PCB battery.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Did anyone ever fit a battery to a WE? Is it
safe to fit something like a Varta 3.6v NiMH battery?</FONT></DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Thanks,</FONT></DIV>
